Linehaul products

A late collection, customs check, local strike or natural disruption can add days. A quote confirms the destination, the weight and whether the postcode is served.

Signature and declared-value cover

These are optional, and only on the products and countries below.

Signature

The recipient, or a person they name, signs the carrier’s delivery record. That signature is the proof the parcel was delivered. If the checked weight or size changes, the signature service may be withdrawn. The proof can be read in the account after delivery. Lanes that are not in this table do not offer it.

Declared-value cover

Optional cover for a parcel lost in transit, where the loss is the carrier’s responsibility. It does not pay for damage. The covered amount can follow the freight, the declared value, or an amount you set. Three times the freight is available only for the United States. The declared value cannot be higher than the real value. Food, medicine, jewellery, cash, documents and perishable goods cannot be covered. Glass and ceramics can be covered for loss, but breakage is not paid. Lanes that are not in this table do not offer it.

What is not covered

These loss, exemption and return limits apply to the lanes below. A compensation ceiling is not a freight rate. Redelivery fees are on the quote.

  • Damage in transit, from leaving the warehouse until delivery, is not paid. Ceramics, glass and fragile plastic must be packed by you, and breakage is not paid.
  • Transit time is not guaranteed, and delay is not paid. If customs holds a parcel because the declaration is incomplete, we only help with the clearance papers.
  • A claim has to go through an investigation first. Apply within 60 days of dispatch, and within 30 days after the loss is confirmed.
  • A failed delivery, a parcel waiting for collection, a return and a customs hold are not treated as a loss.
  • The shipper’s own error is not paid: wrong item, missing item, product quality, two labels, a duplicate order, or packing that does not meet the rule.
  • A failed delivery caused by a wrong address, refusal, the recipient being out, or a parcel not collected in time is not paid.
  • An overseas return is limited to a parcel that has actually come back. A parcel that never returns, or that returns damaged or short, is not paid.
  • Destruction, confiscation or a fine for infringement or prohibited goods is not paid, and the freight is not refunded. Customs detention, destruction and return charges stay with the shipper.
  • After delivery we can only help with an enquiry. If the overseas carrier has not confirmed a loss, it is not paid. A lane without signature does not supply a delivery proof.
  • Loss or damage before the carrier has accepted the parcel is not paid.
  • A loss after the first tracking scan needs a marketplace refund screenshot or proof of a replacement sent outside this lane. A confirmed loss before that scan does not need a claim file.
  • Where the shipper supplies the IOSS number, an invalid number and the resulting return, hold or fine stay with the shipper.

    Wrap all six sides

Use bubble wrap or a similar cushion so the item cannot slide, and add pads.

  2. 2

    Use a rigid carton

No empty space. The gap between the item and the outer carton must be shorter than 10 cm.

  3. 3

    Pack each piece alone

In a multi-piece parcel, every item is packed on its own. Separate the parts of one item with board.

  4. 4

    Keep light and heavy apart

Do not put a small item in the same box as a larger, heavier one.
