China warehousing

The China warehouse is in Shanghai.

A partner warehouse stores the goods. ShopRest keeps the stock visible by SKU. Orders leaving the building are covered on the China fulfilment page.

What the warehouse does

Everyday work is scan-in, outbound picking and storage. The charging rules are on the pricing page. The rates are confirmed on the formal quote. Anything else is optional and billed only when you ask for it.

Scan-in

Cartons are opened, counted, received and put away, charged per piece. Packing follows the agreed packaging specification.

Outbound picking

Pick and check, print and apply the waybill, pack and hand the parcel to the carrier. The first piece is charged per order. Each further piece is charged on its own. Cartons, tape and void fill are not included.

Storage

Bulk stock is charged per pallet per day. The pick face is charged per bin per day. A periodic count is included.

What can be stored

Standard small and mid-size goods: any side up to 100 cm, and a single SKU up to 10 kg. Cold storage and special transport are outside this warehouse.

Inbound

Inbound

Goods are unpacked, counted and put away. A deeper visual check is optional.

Locations and waves. An order can be held when weight or the address needs a check.

What stays out

What stays out

Cold chain and special transport are not stored here. Restricted goods are checked before a SKU goes live.

Optional work inside the warehouse

Each job is priced on its own. If it is not requested, it is not billed. Hangtags, care labels and sticker stock are supplied by the account unless the quote says otherwise.

OptionalApparel
Optional

Unloading and loading

Loose cargo is unloaded or loaded by volume. Full pallets are handled by the pallet. Urgent inbound, beyond the agreed receiving window, is a separate request.

Apparel

Visual quality check

For apparel: product name, specification, appearance and colour. This is not a laboratory or instrument test. A returned piece can also be checked for lint, odour, dirt, the hangtag, holes and loose threads.

Optional

Barcodes, labels and tags

Make a barcode, or apply a barcode, an anti-counterfeit mark or another label. Hang or replace a hangtag. Print and apply a conformity certificate. Sew a care label. Attach or remove a security tag.

Apparel

Garment preparation

Fold a mailer box, change an outer bag or refold a garment. Iron with a steamer, or use a full press. Clean a light stain and close a simple open seam. Measure a sample garment.

Optional

Extra count and order hold

Counts beyond the yearly count are optional. Cancelling an order before a wave is created is not charged. After the wave is created, interception is a separate job.

How scan-in, outbound and storage are calculated is on the pricing page. Those warehouse rates are confirmed on the formal quote. Freight to a destination is on that route page.
