How is China to Canada shipping priced?

A China-direct parcel to Canada is billed in two parts: a freight rate per kilogram and a per-parcel registration fee, both set by weight band. It uses actual weight with a 0.05 kg minimum; volumetric weight is not used. On the September 2026 lane card the general-goods economy lane is about CAD 14.89 per kilogram up to 0.15 kg, CAD 15.32 from 0.15 to 0.45 kg, CAD 15.53 from 0.45 to 0.75 kg, CAD 15.74 from 0.75 to 2 kg and CAD 16.81 above 2 kg, plus a per-parcel fee of CAD 5.32 to 5.74. Fuel is already included. Converted at the 7 October 2026 reference rate of 1 CAD = 4.70 RMB.

What does it cost by weight?

0.1 kg: economy CAD 6.81, standard CAD 8.17. 0.25 kg: economy CAD 9.15, standard CAD 11.22. 0.5 kg: economy CAD 13.30, standard CAD 16.60. 1 kg: economy CAD 21.28, standard CAD 27.87. 2 kg: economy CAD 37.23, standard CAD 53.83. 3 kg: economy CAD 56.17, standard CAD 80.21. 5 kg: economy CAD 89.79, standard CAD 128.72. 10 kg: economy CAD 173.83, standard CAD 250.00. 20 kg: economy CAD 341.91, standard CAD 492.55. Apparel has its own economy lane (7–9 working days): CAD 9.04 at 0.25 kg, CAD 13.19 at 0.5 kg, CAD 21.06 at 1 kg, CAD 36.81 at 2 kg and CAD 88.72 at 5 kg. A select lane (7–9 working days) sits between economy and standard at CAD 10.74 for 0.25 kg.

Is there a Canada warehouse option?

Not on the published cards. The Canada prices on our site are China direct only; Canada local fulfilment is confirmed separately on a formal quote. For most brands selling into Canada, a light parcel from China on the economy lane is the practical default.

What about duty and GST/HST?

For courier shipments from countries other than the United States or Mexico, including China, duty and GST/HST are waived only when the value for duty is CAD 20 or less per shipment. Above CAD 20, duty and tax apply to the full shipment value. Most China-direct orders to Canada are above CAD 20, so duty and tax usually apply. They are quoted separately from logistics, and the formal quote confirms who pays them and when. China warehouse handling is also confirmed on the formal quote and is not in the parcel price.

What are the size and weight limits?

One piece per shipment, up to 30 kg. The select lane takes up to 100 cm on the longest side, 76 cm on the second side, and 250 cm for the longest side plus twice the other two. Size limits for the other Canada lanes are confirmed on the formal quote, so send the packed dimensions of your largest parcel first.

How do I get a price for my own parcel?

Use the calculator on the China to Canada route page: enter the weight, dimensions and cargo type to see every lane that can carry the parcel. The figures are reference prices from the published cards; the formal quote takes precedence and adds warehouse handling.
