How is China to Germany shipping priced?

A China-direct parcel to Germany is billed in two parts: a freight rate per kilogram and a per-parcel registration fee. It uses actual weight with a 0.05 kg minimum; volumetric weight is not used. On the September 2026 lane card the general-goods economy lane is about EUR 7.72 per kilogram up to 0.3 kg plus EUR 3.33 to 3.46 per parcel, then EUR 7.19 per kilogram plus EUR 3.46 per parcel from 0.3 to 30 kg. Fuel is already included. Converted at the 7 October 2026 reference rate of 1 EUR = 7.51 RMB. Each EU country has its own card; this article uses Germany.

Reference prices for a general-goods parcel, fuel included. Economy is 6–10 working days and standard is 5–8 working days.

0.1 kg: economy EUR 4.23, standard EUR 4.77. 0.25 kg: economy EUR 5.26, standard EUR 6.13. 0.5 kg: economy EUR 7.06, standard EUR 8.39. 1 kg: economy EUR 10.65, standard EUR 12.92. 2 kg: economy EUR 17.84, standard EUR 20.37. 3 kg: economy EUR 25.03, standard EUR 29.03. 5 kg: economy EUR 39.41, standard EUR 45.81. 10 kg: economy EUR 75.37, standard EUR 89.08. 20 kg: economy EUR 147.27, standard EUR 174.30. Both lanes take parcels up to 30 kg.

Apparel has its own economy lane (5–8 working days): EUR 5.23 at 0.25 kg, EUR 6.99 at 0.5 kg, EUR 10.52 at 1 kg, EUR 17.58 at 2 kg and EUR 38.75 at 5 kg. The priority lane is the fastest at 4–6 working days: EUR 6.32 at 0.25 kg and EUR 13.72 at 1 kg.

What does the EU add on top?

Two EU charges sit on top of the freight. Since 1 July 2026 a temporary customs duty of EUR 3 per item by tariff category applies to low-value consignments of EUR 150 or less sent through IOSS or by post, until 1 July 2028. Since 1 November 2026 the EU has also charged a EUR 2 Union handling fee per item for goods sold from outside the EU to EU consumers. VAT is charged on top. For a light garment these charges can exceed the freight itself. They are quoted separately from logistics.

When is the Germany warehouse cheaper?

Germany local fulfilment is priced per order and includes storage, putaway, dispatch, packaging and carriage; fuel, oversize, peak season and a failed delivery are extra. To a Berlin postcode (10115), Germany economy (4 working days, up to 1 kg) costs about EUR 5.11 at 0.25 and 0.5 kg and EUR 5.19 at 1 kg. Germany standard (3 working days) costs about EUR 5.94 up to 1 kg, EUR 6.15 at 2 kg and EUR 7.06 at 5 kg.

At 0.25 kg China direct and the German warehouse cost about the same. From 0.5 kg up the warehouse wins, and at 5 kg the gap is about EUR 32 per order. Stock in Germany has already been imported in bulk, so the per-parcel EU duty and handling fee do not apply to each order in the same way; duty is settled on the bulk shipment. Add the transfer cost per unit before you compare.

What are the size and weight limits?

One piece per shipment, up to 30 kg. Size limits for the Germany lanes are confirmed on the formal quote, so send the packed dimensions of your largest parcel before the first shipment. China warehouse handling is also confirmed on the formal quote and is not in the parcel price.

How do I get a price for my own parcel?

Use the calculator on the China to Europe route page: pick Germany, enter the weight, dimensions, cargo type and a postcode to see China direct and the Germany warehouse side by side. The figures are reference prices from the published cards; the formal quote takes precedence and adds warehouse handling.
