Christmas 2026 shipping cut-off dates from China: Australia, US, UK, Europe, Canada and Japan

For delivery before 25 December 2026, China-direct parcels to the US should reach our Shanghai warehouse by 14 December (20 December at the very latest), to Australia by 11 December on the standard lane, and to Germany by 8 December. Orders from Sydney and US warehouse stock can be placed until 22 December. Here are the dates for every lane, the peak surcharge and what happens over Chinese New Year.

What do these dates mean?

Each date below is the day your stock and the order need to be at the ShopRest warehouse in Shanghai for a China-direct parcel to reach a typical address before Friday 25 December 2026. The "recommended" date leaves a buffer for the slower parcels and for carrier congestion in December; the "latest" date assumes everything goes to plan. Remote postcodes, customs inspections and carrier delays are not covered by either date, and the dates are guidance, not a delivery promise.

China-direct cut-off dates by country

United States (apparel lane, most parcels delivered in 5–8 days): recommended 14 December, latest 20 December.

Australia, standard lane (4–7 working days): recommended 11 December, latest 15 December. Australia, economy lane (7–12 working days): recommended 4 December, latest 8 December.

United Kingdom (fastest about 4 days): recommended 11 December, latest 16 December.

Japan (fastest about 2 days): recommended 15 December, latest 19 December.

Canada (about 7 days): recommended 9 December, latest 14 December.

Germany and the EU (about 10 days): recommended 8 December, latest 12 December.

What are the cut-offs for local warehouse stock?

Stock already in a local warehouse ships much later. Sydney orders go out by express with 1–3 day delivery, so the last order date for Christmas delivery in Australia is 22 December. The US warehouse covers the whole country in 2–3 days, so the last order date there is also 22 December. For the UK and German warehouses, ask us for the date that fits your carrier and postcodes. If you sell steadily in one market, moving your best sellers into the local warehouse in November is the simplest way to extend your Christmas sales window.

Is there a peak-season surcharge?

Yes. From November to 22 December, carriers add a peak surcharge that averages about USD 3 per order. The exact amount depends on the lane and service you choose and is confirmed on your quote. Build it into your shipping price or free-shipping threshold now, rather than absorbing it in December.

What about Black Friday and Cyber Monday orders?

Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on 30 November. Orders placed then are well inside every cut-off above, but volume is high across all carriers, so expect the slower end of each transit range. The more important task is stock: make sure your Black Friday best sellers are received at the warehouse before the sale starts, because receiving queues grow in November.

Does the China warehouse close for Chinese New Year 2027?

No. The ShopRest warehouse in China ships every day of the year, including over Chinese New Year, which falls on 6 February 2027. Airlines, customs and some carriers run reduced schedules around the holiday, so allow extra transit time for parcels shipped in the first half of February. Factories, on the other hand, often close for two weeks or more, so plan your inbound stock before the holiday.

How should you use these dates in your store?

Work backwards from the recommended date, not the latest one. Allow time for your factory to deliver to Shanghai and for the warehouse to receive and count the stock. Then publish your own customer-facing cut-off on your shipping page a few days before ours, so late orders are told the truth at checkout. If a product is likely to sell out, split it: keep part of the stock in China for international orders and send part to the Sydney or US warehouse for last-minute local orders.
